. prices are soaring to another all-time high. governor jerry brown now taking action to ease pain at the pump. our jane wells at a gas station in northridge, california. what's he going do, jane? >> reporter: well, let's quote a gas analyst who says, gravity is at work in california. he says after this announcement by the governor, the price of special gasoline is now $1 cheaper than the peak last week -- $3.30 a gallon. not quite seeing that price translate to the pump. people jammed in costco behind me to pay $4.58 a gallon. that's nearly a dime cheaper than the state's record breaking average right now. this costco was closed on friday due to a lack of supply, but governor jerry brown has ordered refiners to start selling california's winter gasoline early to boost supplies as much as 10% after hearing cries from residents complaining that filling up now costs more than $100. listen to him! >> if california slides into a recession, that recession will spread right across the country to the east coast and before the end of this year, the unemployment lines could be rising dramat

at $4.66. that's 85 cents higher than the national average. and now governor jerry brown is taking emergency action to ease the pressure on your wallet. the governor has directed the california air resources board to allow the immediate production of the cheaper winter blend of gasoline. this should immediately increase the supply of gas and in theory lower the price at the pump. here are the latest numbers from aaa if you can stand to see this. an average gallon of regular in san francisco today is $4.73, in oakland and san jose it's $4.67. but we saw a couple of stations charging more than $5.30 a gallon. that's for regular. some analysts expect prices to drop 15 to 20 cents within a week. the reason why these prices skyrocketed is because of refinery problems. in august the chevy refinery in richmond caught fire, and then within the past week in southern california, the exxon mobil refinery in torrance had a power failure and had to shut down. they just got it back working friday. >>> starbucks letting san francisco be the official taste testers of a brand new line of food, test

looked like, everywhere you see a brown state, they were losing jobs in the first full year of barack obama's presidency. unemployment, 10.6%, but three years passed, we saw increases in retail, health care, education, and look at the map today. every state that becomes lighter in this picture is a state where there was an improvement in the unemployment rate over that period of time. i will tell you there, ray great many of them out here. the unemployment rate for ohio, changed 7.2%. lock at the massive change in the country in terms of the improvement in terms of states that are no longer losing jobs, but now making jobs. to make that happen, the bureau of labor statistics says you had to have a lot of job creation. 4.4 million jobs created. what you don't hear so much about, we lost 4.3 million jobs in the dark days. the net gain according to the net record, is only 125,000 jobs. based on that even though the president did create a lot of jobs, when you look at that, look at the extent of his claim, 5 million jobs created, we have to say that's simply false. i know many democrats w
